Connecting Peppol invoicing to the finance system that pays.

Receiving an invoice electronically is only useful if it reaches the system that pays it, with the master data already matching.

The challenge

An automotive financial services provider ran procurement in Coupa and finance in SUN. Electronic invoice receiving only pays off if the invoice lands in the system that settles it, matched against master data that agrees across both.

Without that, eInvoicing moves the re-keying rather than removing it.

What we did

Valtatech delivered the Valtatech Peppol Connector for Coupa, so suppliers can send invoices and credit notes over the Peppol network, alongside Valtatech Invoice AI for invoices that arrive by other routes.

Integration as a Service connects Coupa to SUN across three flows: master data, payment data, and the 'OK to pay' file that tells the finance system an invoice is cleared for settlement.

The connector is set up, monitored and maintained by Valtatech as an ongoing service rather than handed over as a one-off build.

THE OUTCOME

Invoices arriving over Peppol flow through to the finance system that pays them, with master data and payment data kept in step.

Valtatech is software vendor agnostic. The technology named here is what this client selected; we start from requirements, operating model and existing systems. See how we approach Source to Pay →
