Being accredited by a national authority is one thing. Being asked to build the infrastructure they accredit against is another.
A national Peppol authority in Southeast Asia runs its country's e-invoicing initiative — setting the local specification, accrediting service providers, and giving businesses a route onto the network that does not depend on buying enterprise software.
That creates two infrastructure problems at once. Accredited providers need somewhere to prove their implementations conform before they go live. And the businesses the mandate covers — most of them small — need somewhere to send a compliant invoice from, without a procurement platform behind them.
Valtatech built the authority's Peppol test bed environment: the shared environment service providers validate their implementations against, supporting the national PINT test suite.
We then delivered a white-label Peppol-ready invoicing web portal carrying the authority's own brand rather than ours. Its scope covers company registration and entity management, document submission with validation and resubmission handling, dashboard monitoring and reporting, a full audit trail with access logs, cross-border Peppol delivery, role-based access control and encryption services.
Requirements were documented and signed off by project managers on both sides before build, with change control, governance, support and maintenance defined alongside the functional scope rather than bolted on afterwards.
The portal is live in production, and the authority has renewed for a further two years.
Valtatech is software vendor agnostic. The technology named here is what this client selected; we start from requirements, operating model and existing systems. See our Peppol access point →
There is a reasonable question a buyer should ask any access point provider: who checks your work? Here the answer runs the other way round. The authority that accredits providers in this market asked us to build the environment that checking happens in — and then renewed.
