The challenge

A leading fast food restaurant group in Malaysia needed to meet the national e-invoicing mandate across both high-volume B2C restaurant sales and B2B transactions — automatically, from its existing NetSuite ERP.

What we did

Valtatech connected its Compliance-as-a-Service middleware to NetSuite through a secure API connector that extracts invoices, credit notes and self-billed documents at the end of each business day. Every document is digitally signed, converted to the LHDN format and submitted to IRBM, with B2C sales consolidated and B2B transactions submitted individually. Validation results sync back to NetSuite.

For customers who need their own e-invoice, Valtatech built an on-demand web form embedded in the group's public website, emailing the validated e-invoice with its LHDN QR code straight to the customer. Signed off for production in 2025, the solution continues to evolve through enhancements as requirements change.

THE OUTCOME

End-to-end automated LHDN compliance across B2B and B2C, with self-service e-invoice requests for customers and no manual submission effort for finance.
