A phased Source to Pay rollout, integrated with SAP S/4HANA, bringing direct and indirect spend into a single platform for one of the Philippines' leading spirits manufacturers.
Engagement in progress. This is a live implementation. The figures below are the targets the programme is being delivered against, not results achieved. We will publish measured outcomes once the first wave has been live long enough to report them honestly.
Spend visibility that stopped at the boundary between direct and indirect purchasing.
As one of the Philippines' leading spirits manufacturers, the company manages a high volume of purchasing across multiple legal entities. That purchasing covers raw materials for production as well as everyday indirect spend, and the two were managed differently enough that nobody could see the whole picture at once.
It needed a platform that could:
A phased, wave-based rollout that delivers value early while keeping business disruption low.
A consumer-like buying experience for employees, covering catalogues and supplier punchouts, budget controls, PO management, receiving, and two-way and three-way invoice matching. Approvals route by management hierarchy or cost centre, and PO numbers sync back to SAP to support BIR compliance.
Sourcing, supplier information management with risk and performance management, and contract lifecycle management. Three areas go digital together: bid events, supplier onboarding, and contract compliance.
SAP MRP-generated purchase orders and goods receipts for direct materials flow into the platform, making it the single channel for supplier PO collaboration across every spend category.
The platform is Coupa Business Spend Management, integrated with the client's on-premise SAP S/4HANA. Valtatech's own cloud middleware connects the two through standard BAPI and RFC connectors, so the integration does not depend on an SAP BTP subscription. It is delivered as a fully managed service, with ongoing monitoring, error handling and support.
Valtatech is software vendor agnostic. Coupa is the platform this client selected; the same programme shape, and the same middleware, applies to other ERP and procurement platforms. See how we approach Source to Pay →
What the programme is being delivered against. These are objectives, not measured results — the first wave is not yet live.
Procure to Pay targeted to go live within five to six months.
Indirect spend in Phase 1, extended to direct materials in Phase 2.
Standardised workflows and SAP PO integration to support BIR audit requirements.
One portal for purchase orders, invoices and onboarding.
Wave-based delivery lets issues surface and get resolved early.
Hypercare followed by managed services for continuous improvement.
One partner from design through to ongoing optimisation.
End-to-end implementation experience in the region, across both the platform and the finance processes around it.
Standard BAPI and RFC connectors, run as a managed service, without adding an SAP BTP dependency.
Support continues past go-live, so the platform keeps delivering value rather than stalling after handover.
